Every year, November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The day is dedicated to increase awareness about the rights, care and education of children. It is also a day of tribute to Nehru who loved children and considered them the real strength of a nation and foundation of society. Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow – Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru

International Day of Non-Violence - (2021-10-02)

The day of *October 2* is very special because on this day, along with the birthday of the *Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi,* the birth anniversary of the *former Prime Minister of the country, Lal Bahadur Shastri,* is also celebrated on October 2. Lal Bahadur Shastri, who gave the slogan 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan'. Lal Bahadur Shastri devoted his entire life in the service of the poor. *Mahatma Gandhi,* Father of the Nation, as he was called, led India’s freedom movement along with many other national leaders against the British rule in India. His method of non-violence inspired many civil rights movements across the world. To celebrate his contribution to the nation, 2nd October is celebrated every year as the *International Day of Non-Violence* by the United Nations.

In the women empowerment program, important instructions related to the safety of women and children were given by the in-charge of Bakewar police station . Also they gave them the message to be alert and aware for their safety.

Teacher's Day - (2021-09-04)

On the auspicious occasion of Teacher's Day, a two-day program was organized by the students of Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School - Bindki. On the first day, through different programs in the school premises, students expressed their views and respect towards their teachers. On the second day, through online medium, students organized various games for their teachers and expressed their respect for the teacher. After the program, certificates were also given by the students to their teachers.

Krishna Janmashtami 2021 - (2021-08-28)

Krishna Janmashtami is a Hindu festival that marks the birth of Lord Krishna. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Krishna is the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu, one of the Trimurti deities of Hinduism. The day is also known as Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Sri Krishnashtami and Srikrishna Jayanti in various parts of India. Krishna Janmashtami falls on the 8th day of Krishna Paksha, according to the Hindu calendar. Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated by Krishna worshippers with love and joy. The puja happens around midnight as Krishna is supposed to have been born at that time. The day is marked by fasting rituals and reading or listening to the Bhagavad Gita. Temples are adorned with flowers and garlands. The Dahi Handi festival adds fun and fervour to the event. In this festival, human pyramids are made to get hold of a dahi handi (clay pot of curd). Independence Day Celebration 2021 - (2021-08-15)

75 years before on August 15 at the stroke of midnight when the world slept India was roused to life and freedom. Mother India breathed the fragrance of freedom on 15 August 1947. The British rulers left the country after years of struggle led by the brave and patriotic Indian freedom fighters. To commemorate the historic day, Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Bindki hoisted the National Flag at the school premises with strong feelings of patriotism.

International Yoga Day - (2021-06-21)

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to highlight the importance of Yoga and make people aware of its benefits. International Yoga Day was first observed in 2015. This came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27, 2014, highlighted Yoga's importance and urged it to adopt an International Yoga Day.
